Blake Harrison is a Deputy District Attorney for the City and County of Denver and actively fights for consumer rights. In 2002, Blake organized a state ballot initiative to allow liquor stores to be open on Sundays. He pursued the issue until the law was changed in July of 2008. Unafraid of special interests, he is currently leading an effort to allow consumers to purchase beer and wine at grocery stores.
Prior to his service as a District Attorney, Blake was a policy expert for the National Conference of State Legislatures focusing on drug policy, prison reform, technology and privacy issues. He has worked on Colorado issues for the United States Congress and the office of the Colorado Governor.
Blake has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Colorado and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver in 2001. He is the author of numerous publications and a graduate of the Colorado Institute for Leadership Training. He resides in northeast Denver with his wife, Courtney, daughters Ella and Izzie, and dog, Maggie.
